ABout owner
JoJuan Johnson, a father & entrepreneur from Mississippi, has been establishing the Young Goreala brand since 2020. The mantra behind the brand was partially inspired by JoJuan’s collegiate experience as a football athlete for historically black Alcorn State University as well as his contributions as a coach in his community’s youth sport programs. Johnson himself was one of Mississippi’s Top100 Football Athletes going into his collegiate career with a strong love for entertaining people.
In 2020, Johnson decided to expand his parent company, Real Meal Publishing, LLC, into the fashion world by launching an apparel line he named “Young Goreala” which represent “You Obtain Undeniable Natural Gifts…Great One Really Exemplifying A Living Asset.” It means that you are working to fulfill your dreams and authentically putting your complete all into the things that you can control to turn your visions into reality. It means going hard to attain your goals set and to keep pushing no matter what obstacles.
In addition to clothing and community involvement, Johnson has had an active role in helping to market KC Young Bone, a buzzing hip-hop artist and assisting in the development of music creators. He also founded a professional basketball organization in his home state.
Johnson’s greatest inspirations are his children, family & friends. Their encouragement has helped him to remain humble, consistent, uplifted, and innovative throughout his journey to build his empire. He envisions the Young Goreala brand being held to the same standards as well known brands, while opening doors for others, presenting opportunities and branding great individuals worldwide for several decades ahead.
“I remember as kids, my brother and I used to sketch out clothing on notebooks and coloring paper in our room, hoping to start a clothing brand one day. To actually be doing what I fantasized as a kid is crazy. I tell everyone this God’s work/plan. This is all by his design.”
